Sheffield, August 22, 2024—Police have released images of three men and two women sought in connection with a violent incident outside LYKKE bar in New Era Square earlier this month. The group is believed to have fled the scene after one of the men punched an off-duty police officer, causing injuries.
The incident occurred on Saturday, August 3, at around 6 p.m., when the group reportedly began acting aggressively toward two off-duty officers. Tensions escalated, and one of the men struck one of the officers before the group quickly left the area.
Authorities have now shared CCTV images of the suspects, hoping the public can assist in identifying them. The individuals are described as follows:
– Male 1: Aged 30-35, white, approximately 5ft 10ins tall, slim build, with short brown hair and chin stubble.
– Male 2: Aged 40-50, white, 5ft 10ins tall, heavy build, with short, greying brown hair.
– Male 3: Aged 25-30, white, 6ft 2ins tall, slim build, with short brown hair and facial stubble.
– Female 1: Aged 35-40, white, 5ft 7ins tall, slim build, with shoulder-length blonde hair styled in a bob.
– Female 2: Aged 45-50, white, 5ft 6ins tall, heavy build, with long dark brown or black hair.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police urged anyone who recognizes these individuals or has information about the incident to come forward. “Do you recognize any of these people? You can report information to us online, via live chat, or by calling 101, quoting incident number 808 of August 3, 2024. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers.”
The police continue their inquiries and hope that with the public’s help, they can swiftly identify the suspects and bring them to justice. The community is being asked to remain vigilant as the investigation unfolds.
