Witness this astonishing moment when an outraged driver entered an AA recovery vehicle and operated it before tossing away the keys.
The incident occurred outside the McDonald’s on Holbeach Road in Spalding last Friday, where a member of the public grew annoyed when he couldn’t manoeuvre his car through a gap.
Despite the AA employee’s attempts to assist the man in navigating the gap, reportedly wide enough for the car to pass through, the man continued to honk his horn.
Eventually, the man left his car and boarded the AA van, driving it forward.
He then exited the van and discarded the keys belonging to the AA worker. An eyewitness alleged that he also used offensive language before departing.
An AA representative stated: ‘Due to the nature of their job, our patrols often confront challenging circumstances during their daily work.’
‘Nevertheless, because of the potentially hazardous deeds of the third party, we consider this as a grave situation and have alerted the Lincolnshire Police.
‘Since this occurrence is presently under police scrutiny, we will refrain from any further statements.’
A representative from Lincolnshire Police mentioned: ‘We received reports of a disturbance in public order at 7.10 pm at an address on Holbeach Road in Spalding. Investigations are in progress.’
