South Yorkshire has seen a significant escalation in legal proceedings following the violent disorder that erupted on Sunday, August 4. Authorities have now charged 18 individuals in connection with the incident. Among these, five have already entered guilty pleas.
The detailed list of those charged is as follows:
Trevor Lloyd, 49, of Oak Avenue, Rotherham, has been charged with violent disorder. He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Monday, August 12.
Glyn Guest, 60, of Pearson Crescent, Wombwell, also faces charges of violent disorder. He has been remanded and will appear before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on August 12.
–Stuart Bolton, 38, of Manchester Square, New Holland, faces charges of violent disorder, driving without insurance, and driving while disqualified. Bolton has been remanded and will appear in court on August 12.
Richard Harrison, 37, of Burman Road, Rotherham, has been charged with violent disorder. He is currently in custody and is due in Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on August 12.
A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with violent disorder and is set to appear in court on August 12.
Elliot Wragg, 23, of Assembly Way, Barnsley, has been charged with violent disorder. He has been remanded and is scheduled to appear at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on August 12.
Peter Lynch, 61, of Burman Road, Wath Upon Dearne, faces charges of violent disorder. He will appear in Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on August 12.
Joseph Iggo, 20, of Hartley Brook Road, Sheffield, is charged with violent disorder and will appear before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court today, August 9.
Alfie Conway, 19, of Park Avenue, South Kirby, Pontefract, has been charged with violent disorder and is due in court today, August 8.
Levi Fishlock, 31, of Sheffield Road, Barnsley, faces charges of violent disorder and arson with intent to endanger life. He is scheduled to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on August 20.
Damien Mayfield, 41, of Spring Lane View, Sheffield, is charged with using threatening and abusive language likely to cause harassment, alarm, and distress. His court appearance is set for October 4.
A 16-year-old boy, whose identity cannot be revealed for legal reasons, is charged with violent disorder and will appear in Sheffield Magistrates’ Court today, August 8.
Jake Turton, 38, of West Street, Barnsley, faces charges of violent disorder, driving a vehicle without the owner’s consent, and driving without insurance. He is scheduled to appear in court today, August 7.
Lee Crisp, 42, of Mount Road, Grimethorpe; Christopher Rodgers, 38, of Millmoor Road, Barnsley; and Liam Grey, 20, of Randerson Drive, are all charged with violent disorder.
Three additional minors, including one 16-year-old and two 17-year-olds, who cannot be named for legal reasons, also face charges of violent disorder.
Curtis Coulson, 30, of Water Slacks Road, Sheffield, is charged with affray. He appeared before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on August 5 and has been remanded in custody until his next appearance on August 9.
