Tragedy struck at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport as a woman lost her life due to being caught in a conveyor belt system.
The distressing incident led firefighters to rush to Terminal 5 after receiving reports of a woman trapped in the machinery used for moving baggage, as per NBC Chicago.
The woman had unfortunately become entangled in the conveyor belt system and was pronounced deceased on site.
According to reports from ABC Chicago, surveillance footage captured her entering a restricted and unoccupied area during the early hours of the morning. Her lifeless body was discovered several hours later.

Although the woman’s identity has not been disclosed, authorities mentioned she was 57 years old and appeared to have been at the airport overnight.
The reasons behind her choice to enter the restricted area designated for employees remain unknown.
