Billie Eilish has collaborated with Charli XCX on a remix of the British popstar’s track Guess – continuing the “Brat summer”.
The 32-year-old artist, also known as Charlotte Aitchison, coined this term after dropping her sixth studio album – “Brat”.
This term embodies a carefree “it” girl attitude, as seen in the bright neon green hue of her album cover.
Insight: What does brat mean?
Teaming up with the Oscar-winning Eilish, she unveiled a fresh music video for the Guess remix, helmed by Aidan Zamiri.
In the video, the duo can be spotted scaling a pile of lingerie as the 23-year-old American sensation operates a bulldozer.
“Thank you for allowing me to be part of this,” Eilish expressed, sharing the music video on Instagram.
Charli XCX teased the Guess remix earlier in the week, posting a picture with a mystery collaborator, obscuring their faces.
Fans swiftly deduced it was the What Was I Made For? crooner, as Eilish sported the same rings as seen in recent interviews.
This development came after Charli XCX proclaimed: “Kamala IS brat” following Kamala Harris taking over from Joe Biden as the Democratic nominee for the upcoming US elections.
The Biden-Harris campaign account altered its banner to Kamala HQ, mirroring the font and neon green backdrop of the brat album cover.
The term brat, according to the artist, signifies someone who might possess “a pack of cigarettes, a lighter, and a strappy white top without a bra”.
Charli XCX further explained that this individual “feels authentic, but may also experience a breakdown. Nonetheless, she powers through it, displaying raw honesty and bluntness. Somewhat unpredictable. Engages in foolish acts.
“Yet, it embodies a bratty essence. You are the brat. That is brat.”
