A man taken into custody over the heinous killings of three women in a crossbow assault has not yet been interviewed by police due to his paralysis.
Carol Hunt, aged 61, the spouse of BBC 5 Live pundit John Hunt, along with two of their children, Hannah aged 28, and Louise aged 25, were discovered with fatal injuries at a residence in the serene Ashlyn Close, situated in Bushey, Hertfordshire, shortly after 7pm on July 9.
The suspect, Kyle Clifford, aged 26, has been informed by doctors that he is unlikely to regain the ability to walk due to a self-inflicted injury.
Prior to the authorities reaching him, he shot a bolt into his chest on the following day after the tragic incident unfolded.
Although Clifford has been formally detained by Hertfordshire Police, the period in custody will not commence until he is formally interrogated.
The police department informed The Sun: ‘The Major Crime Unit is currently conducting inquiries into the incident.
‘We cannot provide any details regarding an individual’s medical status.’
Clifford was discovered unconscious by law enforcement in a cemetery in close proximity to his residence in Enfield.
He is suspected of having held the three women captive at their residence.
Louise, speculated to be his former partner, purportedly managed to alert her current boyfriend by text, who subsequently notified the police.
Previously, Mr. Hunt had offered his condolences to his surviving daughter whom he described as ‘inspirational’ following the tragic demise of the rest of their family due to the appalling attack.
Reflecting on the victims, Mr. Hunt and his remaining daughter, Amy, conveyed: ‘The despair we are enduring is beyond words.
