Captivated onlookers aboard the Yorkshire Belle cruise witnessed a mesmerizing spectacle as the dolphins frolicked in the wake of the boat, turning a regular sightseeing tour into an extraordinary marine adventure.

The dolphins made their grand appearance during a Saturday afternoon cruise, sending waves of excitement through the crowd. The delighted passengers, who typically expect to spot seabirds, were treated to this rare marine ballet. Although dolphins are occasionally sighted off the Yorkshire coast, particularly around Scarborough, their visits never fail to astonish and thrill those who catch a glimpse. “With regular sightings in Scarborough, Yorkshire’s most common dolphin species is the charismatic and highly friendly bottlenose dolphin,” says the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.
