Renowned billionaire Elon Musk has made a donation to a political organization that supports the election of presidential candidate Donald Trump, as per reports.
According to sources cited by Bloomberg, while the exact amount remains undisclosed, it is stated to be a substantial sum given to a group known as America PAC.
Bloomberg’s report mentions that the PAC, which has the ability to accept unlimited contributions for political purposes, is expected to reveal its list of donors on July 15.
Back in March, Trump, who is slated to be formally named as the Republican Party’s candidate for the November 5 election, had a meeting with Musk and other affluent donors.
In response to the reports about the meeting, the billionaire, originally from South Africa, clarified on X: “Just to be extremely clear, I am not providing financial support to either US Presidential candidate.”

In May, he also refuted media claims regarding discussions about a potential advisory role in a Trump administration.
Representatives for Musk, the mastermind behind electric car manufacturer Tesla, aerospace company SpaceX, and social media giant X, have been requested by Sky News to comment on the reports.
Biden campaign spokesperson James Singer criticized Musk, stating that he knows Trump is “a gullible person who will betray America, decreasing his taxes while raising the middle class’s taxes by $2,500”.
“Joe Biden has consistently stood up against individuals like Elon and advocated for the middle class throughout his career – that’s why he will emerge victorious in November,” he affirmed.

In recent times, Musk has shown increased support for the Republican Party, a stance that has impacted Tesla, his primary source of wealth, in terms of reputation and sales.
Last month, Trump reiterated his commitment to promptly discontinue the Biden administration’s “directive” to promote the electric vehicle sector.
However, Trump also expressed his admiration for electric cars, particularly praising Musk.
He stated, “He does an outstanding job with Tesla.”
Musk revealed that he has had “some discussions” with Trump, who is a strong supporter of Tesla’s electric pickup trucks known as Cybertrucks.
