A professional artist who starred in the fourth installment of Pirates Of The Caribbean has sadly lost his life due to a shark attack off the coast of Oahu in Hawaii.
The individual in question, Tamayo Perry, aged 49, who also had roles in movies like Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle and Blue Crush, was attacked near Goat Island on Sunday afternoon, as reported by emergency services in Honolulu.
Witnesses reported the incident after spotting a man with apparent shark bite injuries. Emergency services swiftly responded to the call at Malaekahana Beach around 1 pm local time.
Rescue operations managed to bring Mr. Perry, an Ocean Safety lifeguard and surfing mentor, back to shore via jet ski, where paramedics declared him deceased, according to Shayne Enright from the Honolulu Emergency Services Department.
Mr. Perry commenced his journey with the Ocean Safety department in July 2016 and also made an appearance in Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
Following the unfortunate incident, Ocean Safety personnel issued cautionary alerts about sharks in the vicinity.
